The Story & Experience

Discover a hidden gem in Beaverton, Oregon, at Pa' que Carmen. This charming brunch restaurant is not just a place to eat; it's a culinary experience that transports your palate directly to the heart of Venezuela. Nestled at 21460 SW Tualatin Valley Hwy, this vibrant eatery is already turning heads with its irresistible offerings and warm, welcoming atmosphere.

As you step inside Pa’ que Carmen, you’re enveloped in a cozy yet lively ambiance, perfect for enjoying a leisurely weekend brunch or a casual catch-up with friends. The restaurant's decor elegantly mirrors its Venezuelan roots, making it a delightful backdrop for what’s to come: an explosion of flavors and authentic cuisine.

The menu showcases a variety of traditional dishes that are expertly crafted to tantalize your taste buds. A standout feature are the pastelitos, delectable turnovers filled with your choice of ground beef, or a savory mixture of cheese and potatoes. Customers rave about these bite-sized delights, with one reviewer even calling them "addicting"—a sentiment echoed by many who have discovered this treasure. Each pastelito is served fresh from the fryer, with an optional green garlic and cilantro sauce that elevates the dish to a whole new level of flavor.

But don’t just take our word for it! Steve Winkelman exclaims, “I must tell you, it’s the best food ever... the quality, the taste, the service!” And isn’t that what we all seek in a brunch experience? The heartfelt commitment from the staff is also a gem of its own. Many patrons highlight how friendly and attentive the service is, even in moments of language barriers, ensuring everyone feels welcome and understood.

Another local, Anastasia Nguyen, also encourages fellow food lovers to indulge in the pastelitos, recommending about three for a satisfying brunch. Accompanied by that mouthwatering garlicky dipping sauce, it's a combination that lingers in your memory long after the meal is finished. With fair prices and generous portions, you’ll leave feeling full and satisfied, all while experiencing authentic Venezuelan comfort food.

Whether you’re a brunch connoisseur or just looking to try something new, Pa’ que Carmen is the place where flavor meets authenticity. Come for the food, stay for the ambiance, and leave with a smile. Don’t miss out on this deliciously unique dining experience—you won’t regret it!

Very friendly and amazing service! I tried their pastelitos, which come with either ground beef or cheese and potato filling. Only word I can use to describe them is addicting! They come with an optional green garlic and cilantro sauce that adds so much flavor. As a Venezuelan, even though they just opened, its the most authentic cuisine I have had yet.

Get the pastelitos. You won't regret it. About 3 is a good amount, with carne molida o papa y queso! It comes fresh from the fryer with a garlicky dipping sauce. Also, Tiffany is the sweetest!
